We hope to create with your help a meeting that will be interactive with each participant contributing his/her experience in a series of workshops, plenaries and presentations.

The worldwide prevalence of dementia now encompassing 36 million people will increase by 85% over the next 20 years and more than triple by the year 2050.
Currently: 

• Dementia costs account for 1% of the world's gross domestic product.
• About 70% of global costs occurred in two regions of the world: Western Europe and North America.

Dementia is already affecting health systems around the world. To deal with future challenges of dementia, governments must make dementia a health priority and develop national plans to address the illness.
